Junior Springboks Rule the South as Championship Title is Secured
The Junior Springboks have officially ascended to the throne of Southern Hemisphere age-grade rugby. In a clinical and physically dominant display at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha, the South African U20 side dismantled Australia 56-17, clinching the 2026 U20 Rugby Championship title with a full round of matches still to play. While the Gqeberha faithful held memories of past heartbreaks at this venue, the Class of 2026 erased those ghosts with an eight-try blitz.
