Founded in 1905 as Potchefstroom College, Potchefstroom High School for Boys boasts a rich and diverse heritage that continues to thrive today. The boys who pass through the school play a crucial role in shaping and preserving the strong traditions for which the school is known. These traditions are at the heart of the school’s identity and contribute to the unique experience that learners enjoy.
A Home Away from Home
The school offers boarding facilities that serve as a home away from home. These facilities provide a safe and supportive environment where boys can thrive, not only academically but also on a personal level. The sense of community and camaraderie in the boarding houses makes it easy for learners to settle in and feel at home.
Competition and Camaraderie
Potchefstroom High School for Boys divides its learners into four houses: Barnard, Granton, Milton, and Buxton. Throughout the year, these houses compete in the Wood’s Bowl competition, earning points through achievements in sports, academics, culture, and social activities.
