5 Local Job Seekers to Know – CVs on The Go-To Guy 20 May 2025

Each week, we introduce you to five talented and determined individuals actively seeking employment through our Job Board. This week’s lineup showcases individuals with backgrounds in finance, education, retail, marketing, and early childhood development. These candidates not only bring qualifications and experience but also demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to personal growth.

1. Kesego Motebe – Emerging Finance Professional with a BCom in Economic Science


Kesego is a detail-oriented graduate from North-West University with a BCom in Economic Science and a specialization in Econometrics. Currently serving as a Finance Intern at the Provincial Treasury since October 2023, she has developed hands-on experience in governmental financial procedures, reporting, and data analysis. Her contract runs until April 2025.


She brings strong analytical thinking, multilingual communication (English, Setswana, Zulu), and foundational computer proficiency. Kesego also holds a C1 driver’s license, expanding her mobility for potential roles. Her academic background, paired with real-world internship exposure, makes her a strong candidate for positions in finance, government, or economic research sectors.




2. Adamson Thembisile Sdaxa – Adaptable and Motivated Worker Across Sectors


Adamson is a versatile, results-driven professional with experience in education, retail, agriculture, and digital environments. His current role as a Production Assistant at Supa Ginja involves warehouse support, stock handling, and customer service. His previous roles include an Electoral Officer for the IEC and Assistant Educator at Phakela Secondary School, where he supported curriculum implementation and classroom administration.


Although his diploma in Mixed Agriculture remains incomplete, Adamson has completed relevant short courses in digital literacy and internet safety through NEMISA and Microsoft, strengthening his IT competence. He is fluent in English, Setswana, Afrikaans, and Xhosa, and is highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, and MongoDB. Adamson is ideal for entry-level roles in logistics, education support, digital operations, and customer service.




3. Monica Ewen – Retail Professional with Four Years of Cashier Experience


Monica brings a strong foundation in retail operations, gained over four years as a cashier at LT Mini Market. She has handled everything from customer-facing service and takeaway counter duties to order management, stock control, and cash reconciliation. Her ability to multitask in a small-team environment highlights her reliability and initiative.


Monica is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other online platforms, with the ability to adapt to different POS and admin systems. Fluent in Afrikaans and English, she is well-suited for customer service, cashier, or stock coordination roles in retail, food services, or distribution businesses. Despite completing school up to Grade 10, Monica’s practical know-how and customer rapport skills give her an edge in service-oriented roles.

4. Zanell de Wet – Creative Marketing Director with Entrepreneurial Flair


Zanell is a confident and innovative marketing and sales executive with hands-on leadership experience. As the Marketing Director at SparkShift Marketing, she spearheaded branding strategies, campaign planning, and customer engagement. Her approach blends creativity with strategic thinking, and she is known for improving customer satisfaction and resolving problems effectively.


With a strong presence and a collaborative spirit, Zanell thrives in dynamic, team-based environments. She brings top-tier communication skills, including writing, public speaking, and presentation delivery. Although her formal education background isn't detailed, her professional journey showcases a proven track record in marketing, business development, and client-facing roles. 5. Merelda Naude – Early Childhood Development Student with Administrative and Service Background


Merelda is a driven young professional currently studying Early Childhood Development through Oxbridge Academy. Despite her youth, she already has a strong foundation in both education and customer service. As a teacher at Q-sorg daycare, she nurtured the growth of toddlers and babies. Her earlier role as a waitress at Koöperasie Kroeg en Kos taught her time management, problem-solving, and customer handling under pressure.


From 2021 to 2024, she also worked as an administrator at Used 2 Be Yours, a secondhand goods business, where she handled data capturing, payments, and office operations. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, HTML, and POS systems, and speaks Afrikaans and English fluently. With a recently earned matric certificate and a proactive approach to learning, Merelda is ready for a full-time role that combines her administrative and people skills.
