Accredited First Aid and Safety Training Heads to Potchefstroom in September

Empowering People SA (EPSA), an accredited South African training provider, will be offering a series of safety and first aid courses in Potchefstroom from 1 to 4 September 2025. The training sessions are aimed at individuals, schools, companies, healthcare workers and caregivers who require up-to-date certification in life-saving and workplace safety skills.
Course Breakdown and Details
Three separate courses will be offered over the four-day period, covering first aid, fire fighting, and health and safety representation.
1. Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures – Level 1
Dates: 1–2 September 2025
Duration: 2 days
Venue: 90 Chris Hani Street
Cost: R1250 per person
This introductory first aid course is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to manage emergency situations until professional help arrives.
2. Basic Fire Fighting – Level 2
Date: 3 September 2025
Duration: 1 day
Venue: 90 Chris Hani Street
Cost: R980 per person
The fire fighting course provides practical training for handling and extinguishing small fires in domestic and office environments. It focuses on understanding fire behaviour, safety protocols and proper equipment use.
3. Apply Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Principles as REP – Level 3
Date: 4 September 2025
Duration: 1 day
Venue: 90 Chris Hani Street
Cost: R1050 per person
This course targets those appointed as SHE Reps (Safety, Health and Environmental Representatives) in workplaces. It focuses on identifying hazards, assessing risks and ensuring that reasonable steps are taken to maintain safety compliance.

Participants who attend all four days of training will receive a discounted rate of R2890, offering a saving compared to booking each session individually.

Payment and Cancellation Terms
According to the terms listed on the official booking form:
A 50% deposit is required upon invoicing to secure a place.
Full payment must be received two weeks before the training start date.
Cancellations made four weeks in advance are eligible for a full refund.
No-shows on the day of training will be charged the full fee.
Substitutions are allowed for delegates unable to attend.
EPSA reserves the right to cancel the course with a full refund to participants.
