Aviation displays, static aircraft exhibits and a variety of family entertainment are scheduled to take place at the Parys Aerodrome in July, offering regional residents a full day of outdoor entertainment.
The Parys Airshow 2026 has been scheduled for mid-July, with the main public exhibition day structured around a programme of civilian and military aerial formations. Gates are set to open early in the morning to allow visitors time to access the venue and view ground displays before the flight schedules commence.
Acrobatics and hardware on display
The event grounds will feature structured exhibit areas for civilian aircraft and specialised aviation technology suppliers. On the tarmac, visitors will be able to view a selection of aircraft stationary, providing a closer look at the machinery and engineering behind both classic and modern flight.
Up in the air, the schedule features precision flying sequences. Organisers have confirmed a lineup that includes private aerobatic teams alongside military flight hardware, presenting a series of coordinated maneuvers over the airfield throughout the afternoon.
Ground entertainment and facilities
Beyond the flight line, the aerodrome layout includes dedicated zones for spectator comfort and recreation. A beer tent and multiple food stalls will operate for the duration of the event, serving a variety of refreshments and meals to attendees.
Families travelling with younger children will have access to an infrastructure of dedicated children's entertainment areas, positioned away from the main flight lines for safety. Organisers have emphasised that the entire venue is being structured to meet safety regulations, with professional event management teams overseeing crowd control, parking and perimeter security.
Event logistics and ticket information
The event is scheduled for 19 July 2026, with the main public gates opening at 08:00 on Sunday. The flight programmes and general exhibitions will run from 10:00 until 15:00.
Tickets are available for purchase online through Quicket, with tiered pricing based on age groups. Admission for adults is set at R160, pensioners can enter for R120, and tickets for children under the age of 12 are priced at R100. Children under the age of two are granted free entry. Visitors are advised to secure bookings ahead of time to facilitate smoother access at the primary aerodrome gates along the R59.
