The Amelia After Care Centre (Amelia Nasorgsentrum) has announced that its annual charity golf day will return to the Potchefstroom Country Club on Friday, 23 October 2026. This year, the event introduces a "Mystery Golf Format," adding a bit of a twist to the usual day on the greens.
The initiative aims to raise funds for the centre's ongoing work, providing a platform for local businesses and residents to contribute while enjoying a round of golf.
Entry and Sponsorship Options
Organisers have opened bookings for both teams and sponsors. Entry fees are structured to accommodate different levels of support:
Hole Sponsorship: R1,000
4-Ball Team: R2,000
Combined 4-Ball and Hole Sponsorship: R3,000
The day is set to be a significant networking opportunity for the local community, with all proceeds going directly toward the Amelia After Care Centre’s operations.
On the Day
The programme begins with registration at 09:30, followed by a 10:30 shotgun start. After the final putts are sunk, the afternoon will transition into a prize-giving ceremony and happy hour.
Participants should note that Amelia Nasorgsentrum will not be handling golf cart bookings this year. Players who require a cart are advised to contact the Potchefstroom Country Club directly to make their own arrangements.
