The monthly Creative Trail series is set to return to the outskirts of Potchefstroom this April, offering a hands-on experience for those looking to swap their morning screen time for some fresh air and foliage. Hosted by My Creative Fix in collaboration with Hartspad Adventure Trails, this month’s session focuses on the traditional craft of flower crown making.
A Morning of Foraging and Craft
The event begins with a mindful walk through the local landscape. Participants will forage for seasonal wildflowers and greenery, guided by artist Lize-Marie from Flowers for Days. The walk serves as both a source of materials and a chance to slow down and observe the natural textures of the area.
Following the walk, the group will move into the creative workspace. Lize-Marie will demonstrate the technical side of crown construction, covering how to build a sturdy structure, balance different floral elements, and layer textures to create a cohesive design.

What to Expect
The workshop is designed to be accessible for beginners and seasoned crafters alike. All necessary tools and supplementary materials are provided, and the trail fee is included in the ticket price. It is an informal, outdoorsy morning aimed at those who enjoy working with their hands and connecting with others in a relaxed setting.
