Local farmers are encouraged to attend an Information Day hosted by the North West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on 26 August 2025. The event will be held simultaneously in four districts across the province, with Potchefstroom forming part of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District programme.

Venue and Purpose
In Potchefstroom, the session will take place at the Potch College precinct, starting at 10:00. The programme is designed to empower farmers with knowledge about funding opportunities available across various government departments. Guidance will also be provided on how to respond to official calls for funding, ensuring that participants can make the most of available support.
Broader Provincial Initiative
While the Potchefstroom event is part of a wider provincial rollout, each district will host its own session on the same day. The Information Day seeks to provide clarity on application processes, eligibility requirements, and funding mechanisms aimed at supporting agricultural growth and sustainability.
Supporting Farmers for the Future
By bringing these sessions closer to farming communities, the department aims to strengthen access to resources, improve awareness of available opportunities, and encourage broader participation in agricultural development initiatives.
The Information Day in Potchefstroom is a key opportunity for local farmers to connect with officials, gain insights into funding processes, and take advantage of programmes designed to support their agricultural ventures.
