When it comes to summer safety, most people think of sunscreen, hats, and maybe an umbrella drink or two. But there’s something far more practical on offer this October, a First Aid Level 1 Training session hosted by PR Training and SHE Consultants.
Training Details
This one-day training session takes place on 25 October 2025, running from 08:30 to 17:30, at Vida e Café, 46 Christo Meyer Street, Vanderhoffpark, Potchefstroom. It’s the last training date for 2025, so if you’ve been putting off learning CPR, this might be your final chance to tick that off your “responsible adult” list.
The session costs R850 per person, which includes certified instruction and a day’s worth of life-saving wisdom. Water will be provided, but you’ll need to bring your own pen, because even heroes take notes.
What the Course Covers
This isn’t one of those boring, read-from-a-manual sessions. The training covers practical, essential skills such as:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Wound Care
Choking Relief
Burn Treatment
It’s all based on SAQA Unit Standard 119567, approved by the Department of Labour and accredited by TETA and QCTO. So yes, it’s official, and no, you can’t just Google it instead.
For Everyone, Not Just the Paramedics
The event organisers say the course is easy, practical, and perfect for parents, grandparents, and teens, anyone who might need to spring into action before the professionals arrive. After all, knowing what to do in a crisis can make a big difference while waiting for help.
Or, as the cheerful tagline puts it: “Be a hero, learn First Aid!”
