A Day on the Green with a Purpose

Potchefstroom golfers will be swapping their usual weekend four-balls for a cause this October. The Fundraising Golf Day, “Chipping in…for Italy!” tees off on 25 October 2025 at Landbou Golf Club, Potchefstroom. The shotgun start kicks off at 10:00, ensuring everyone gets going at the same time, which means fewer excuses for arriving late.

The day is all about supporting Janco and Benno’s rugby journey, with players and supporters alike getting behind the initiative in true local fashion.

Format and Pricing

The competition format will be a Better Ball Scramble Drive, making it a team effort rather than an individual slog.

• R2 500 per four-ball gets you on the course.

• For businesses or generous individuals, hole sponsorships are available at R500 each.

• There’ll also be wet and/or sponsored holes scattered across the course, which might make those later holes more entertaining than usual.

And if swinging a club isn’t enough motivation, there’s the small matter of prices worth R10 000 up for grabs.
