Winter in South Africa is synonymous with many things, but nothing warms the heart of the community quite like the beautiful game. This June, Dlala Diski Mshaya is set to turn up the temperature with the highly anticipated Top 8 Winter Games, a soccer tournament dedicated to the seasoned veterans of the pitch.

The Tournament Details
This isn't just any local kick-around. The Top 8 Winter Games is a competitive showdown designed specifically for the legends of the game—the over-30s. To ensure fair play and maintain the spirit of the "masters" category, organizers have specified that players must present a straightly valid ID to participate.
Dates: June 13th – 16th (Saturday through Tuesday)
Venue: Ext 6 Sports Ground – Ariel
Entry Fee: R1,500 per team
What’s at Stake?
The stakes are high, and the rewards are even higher. Teams will be battling it out for a significant prize pool:
Position | Prize Money |
1st Place | R10,000 |
2nd Place | R3,000 |
Additionally, there is a "Sponsor Add" of R1,000 noted for the event.
A Celebration of "Diski" Culture
Hosted by Tshepapelo Pro’s (established in 2025), the event promises more than just soccer. It’s a community gathering where experience meets passion. The tournament motto, "The Higher We Go," reflects the ambition of the organizers to elevate local sports and provide a platform for older players to showcase that class is indeed permanent.
Whether you're a local resident looking for a great long weekend of entertainment or a team manager ready to lead your squad to glory, the Ext 6 Sports Ground is the place to be this June.
