Residents of the JB Marks Local Municipality can expect business as usual regarding waste management this upcoming holiday long weekend. In a public notice issued by the Communication Unit on Monday, 30 March 2026, the municipality confirmed that refuse removal services will proceed without interruption during the 2026 Easter Holidays.

No Holiday Delays
Despite the statutory public holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday, the municipality has assured the public that all collections will follow the standard operating schedule. This includes residential and commercial zones that usually see pickups on Mondays and Fridays.
The municipality emphasized that there will be no service gaps, ensuring that the community remains clean and sanitary throughout the festive period.
Guidelines for Residents
To ensure the efficiency of the service, the Communication Unit has requested that residents adhere to the following:
Stick to the Schedule: Place refuse out for collection only on your designated days.
Timely Placement: Ensure bins or bags are accessible for collection teams as per the normal morning routine.
"The JB Marks Local Municipality appreciates the cooperation of residents in maintaining a clean and healthy environment," the statement read.
Holiday Wishes
In addition to the service update, the municipality extended its best wishes to the community, wishing all residents a safe and peaceful Easter holiday.
