About the Event
Postgraduate Project Management students at North-West University are pulling on their boots to organise a community rugby clinic with a twist. On Saturday 27 September, the Potchefstroom Gimnasium rugby fields will be buzzing with boys aged 8 to 13 learning the game, polishing skills, and yes, playing a proper tackle rugby tournament.
The day aims to balance fun, fundamentals, and first aid. While kids are being coached, parents are encouraged to hang around the sidelines and offer their own brand of motivational yelling.
Coaching and Activities
The coaching team is made up of I-Skills and institute players who will cover:
Professional coaching sessions
Skills, drills and games
A structured environment with first aid support
A touch of competition in the form of a rugby tournament
Snacks, drinks, and a goodie bag to sweeten the deal
There will also be fun prices on offer once the boots are muddy and the tackles are done.
What to Bring
Sports or rugby boots
Comfortable, appropriate clothing
A hat or cap and sunscreen (because sunburn isn’t a trophy)
