It’s the last chance to book a spot for My Creative Fix’s hands-on creative holiday workshop happening on 15 July 2025, and this one’s all about decoupage. If your kid's been stuck to a screen like glue, this might be the artsy antidote you're looking for.
A Creative Afternoon in Potch
Hosted at 9 Reitz Street, the session runs from 14:00 to 16:30, giving kids a solid two and a half hours to explore their crafty side. The workshop is part of My Creative Fix's school holiday line-up, tailored especially for kids aged 8 to 12.
No prior Picasso-level talent needed, just a willingness to get stuck in with glue and paper (and a bit of patience). The decoupage session will have participants transforming basic items into colourful masterpieces using Mod Podge, paper cut-outs, and good old elbow grease.
What to Expect
My Creative Fix is aiming for more than just an art project to take home. The workshops are designed to help kids:
Build confidence, focus, and fine motor skills
Connect with peers in a relaxed, social setting
Stay away from screens for more than five consecutive minutes (a small miracle)
And, of course, have fun while doing something different
All materials are included in the R130 entry fee, so there's no need to rummage around the house for glue sticks and scissors at the last minute.

Whether your kid’s an enthusiastic crafter or just needs a creative break from TikTok, this workshop offers something a bit different. And with all the mess happening somewhere that’s not your lounge, it’s a win for everyone.
