A Space for Kids to Play, Learn and Explore
Child and Family Welfare Potchefstroom is running a Kidz Holiday Club from 6 to 10 October 2025. The club opens early at 7:30am and keeps going until 5:00pm, giving children plenty of time to get stuck into activities while parents can get on with the day.
The programme is aimed at children between the ages of 4 and 13. The idea is simple: let the kids learn, create and have fun while school is out.
Activities on Offer
Children won’t be short of things to do. The line-up includes:
Art workshops
Story time sessions
Science play
Dance and music
Outdoor games
Creative play and building activities
Educational excursions
It’s a mix of imagination, movement and exploration. The daily cost is R100, which goes towards keeping the programme running and providing the materials needed for activities.
Keeping Things in Order
The organisers have kept the rules short and clear:
Be kind and respectful.
Pay attention to leaders at all times.
Keep it tidy.
Stay with the group for safety.
In other words, have fun but don’t turn the place upside down.
Where and How to Join
Everything takes place at 91 Chris Hani Drive, Potchefstroom. Parents can register their children by calling Millici on 071-885-2480 or Zingisa on 081-310-6859.
Toys Needed
The club is also looking for donations of toys to keep the fun flowing. They are specifically asking for balls, skipping ropes and hoola hoops. Anyone willing to help can call 082-856-5247.
The October holiday don’t need to be a long stretches of boredom or endless screen time. For kids, this club is shaping up to be an easy mix of fun, games and learning. For parents, it might just mean a quieter house for a few days.
