South Africa’s legendary rock pioneers, The Staccatos, have been bringing music and magic to stages across the Western Cape during their highly anticipated national tour. Running throughout this past month from the 7th of May to the 31st of May 2026, this tour has been a spectacular celebration of timeless hits, laughter, and deep connection with their multi-generational fan base.
Gouda Hotel Comes Alive with Nostalgia
The tour gathered tremendous momentum on the evening of May 8th when the band took over the theatre stage at the Gouda Hotel. The venue came alive with incredible energy, filling the room with classic music, nostalgic memories, and an atmosphere that left the crowd spellbound.
The next day, on May 9th, the band shared a playful glimpse into their travels through the beautiful Cape countryside. Joking about the local sights,including how "even the wheelbarrows have personality",they shared a lighthearted moment with fans online.
It proved that even during a busy touring schedule, the laughter and joy never stop when you are on the road with South Africa's longest-running band!
A Sold-Out Sensation at Togryersvlei in Jacobs Bay
The crowning achievement of this leg of the tour took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the gorgeous Togryersvlei Venue located along Jacobs Bay Road. Showcased in their official promotional poster, this highly anticipated concert was a complete sell-out! Fans eagerly secured their tickets at R175 per person to see the iconic lineup up close, which featured:
Brian Le Gassick: The band's legendary founder and guitarist.
Steve Ashley: The band's phenomenal and soulful lead vocalist.
With the doors opening at 18:00 for a 19:30 start, the rustic West Coast venue set up a lively, welcoming atmosphere complete with a cash bar. It was the perfect recipe for an unforgettable night of classic rock.
