The smell of freshly baked cookies and the sound of laughter will soon fill the air at My Creative Fix’s Christmas Cookie Decorating Class in Potchefstroom. It’s happening on 22 November 2025 from 14:00 to 16:30 at 9 Reitz Street, and yes, all materials (and the sugar) are provided.
An Afternoon with Katelyn, the Cookie Artist
Guiding the session is Katelyn, My Creative Fix’s resident cookie artist with a knack for turning plain biscuits into edible art. She’ll be teaching everything from mixing and colouring royal icing to piping and flooding techniques, helping participants achieve that smooth, professional look you usually only see on Pinterest.
There’ll also be plenty of tips for adding texture, patterns, and personal flair, because no two gingerbread men (or women) should ever look the same.
What to Expect
This hands-on class promises to be relaxed, a little sticky, and entirely worth it. Participants will take home a box of their own custom-decorated cookies, assuming they haven’t been “taste-tested” before the end of the session.
It’s open to anyone aged 8 and up, whether you’re flying solo, coming with friends, or dragging along the kids for a bit of festive fun.
Tickets cost R220 per person, which covers all tools, icing, and cookies. Basically, all you need to bring is your enthusiasm, and maybe your sweet tooth.

The class is less about perfection and more about enjoying the process, icing blobs, sugar sprinkles, and all. By the end of it, you’ll walk out with a box of Christmas cheer and a new skill to show off at the next family gathering (because store-bought cookies just won’t cut it anymore).
