On Saturday, 10 May 2025, from the crack of 08h00, pad.langs will be opening its gates for a proper farm-style veg market. No frills. Just good, fresh produce, straight from nearby farms to your boot. It’s all happening out on Modderdam Road, Potchefstroom Rural 1, conveniently next to Saddlebrook Estate. Entry? Mahala. That’s right free.

Why You Should Pitch Up

The idea’s simple: local farmers bring their finest, you bring your reusable bags (or take a chance with juggling a butternut). The market's all about farm-to-table goodness. No middlemen. No plastic-wrapped spinach that’s been on a road trip since Tuesday. Just straight-up, straight-from-the-farm veggies.

It’s not all turnips and potatoes though, there’ll also be fresh sourdough bread, lovingly baked and waiting to be devoured. And if carbs aren’t your vibe first thing in the morning, the KOFFIE.STOP on-site will be brewing up coffee that could raise the dead. Sit, sip, and people-watch.

For the Small Humans and Furry Companions

Got kids? Bring them. They can run around to their heart’s content without knocking over a rack of chutney. Pets are welcome too, on leads, obviously. It’s one of those rare places where toddlers, terriers, and turnips all coexist in peace.
