Potchefstroom Academy is lining up its next short course, this time focusing on the art (and science) of eyebrows and eyelashes. Running from 9 to 11 October, the three-day programme promises hands-on training in shaping, tinting, lifting and extending lashes and brows. Bookings close on 19 September, so the countdown has already begun.
What the Course Covers
This short course is aimed at teaching a set of practical techniques that go beyond simply reaching for a pair of tweezers. Participants will learn:
Tinting: Darkening lashes and brows to create a fuller look, with the added bonus of professional eyebrow shaping.
Henna: Using henna to stain both skin and hair, which produces a shadow effect and more brow definition.
Lamination: A semi-permanent lift that gives natural brows and lashes a longer, fuller appearance.
Extensions: Applying semi-permanent individual lashes for extra length, thickness and volume.
In short, it’s about giving people the skills to move from “I tried this at home” to “I actually know what I’m doing.”
The Practical Bits
There’s no pricing details, so direct contact is the way to go. Questions can be sent to shortcourses@saahst.co.za, , or if you prefer to hear a human voice, phone 018-294-9000 or
064-624-1548.
It’s worth pointing out again that spaces need to be booked by 19 September. That’s not too far away, so anyone who wants to join should probably make a move sooner rather than later.
