Potchefstroom Motorcycle Expo 2025: A Gathering for Bike Lovers - 16 June

Motorcycle enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Potchefstroom Motorcycle Expo is back for its third year, promising an exciting day out for petrolheads and families alike. The event will be held on 16th June 2025 at the Crista Galli Venue, Thabo Mbeki Road, Potchefstroom. With gates opening at 08:00 and wrapping up at 16:00, there’s plenty of time to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of everything two-wheeled.

A Feast for the Senses

The Expo isn’t just about ogling bikes, though there’ll be plenty of that. Expect a diverse display of vintage, veteran, and classic motorcycles, alongside the new kids on the block. Organisers promise over 100 bikes spanning 90 years of motorcycle history. Whether you’re into the classics that rattled along dirt roads decades ago or the latest in motorcycle engineering, you’re in for a treat.

Food, Music and Fun

No event in Potch is complete without good food and a bit of a party. There’ll be a cash bar to keep the adults refreshed, and enough yummy food stalls to satisfy even the fussiest eater. Live music will keep the vibe festive while the kids burn off their energy in the children’s entertainment zone.

For the competitive types, there’s a prize-giving ceremony at 13:00. Who knows, maybe your bike will be taking home the silverware!

Entry is R30 per person and a measly R10 for kids under 13. If you’re lucky enough to ride in, you’ll be glad to know that motorcyclists get free entry and can park their bikes inside the venue. Market stalls (R300 for a 3x3m spot) are available for those wanting to flog their wares.

The Expo is the perfect distance from the Rand area for a lekker morning drive. Organisers have made sure there’s plenty of secure parking, so there’s no need to stress about leaving your pride and joy unattended.
