If you’ve been meaning to learn how to wire up the sun, this might be your chance. The Solar Training Centre SA (STC) and North-West University (NWU) are teaming up once again to host their last PV GreenCard Training of the year in Potchefstroom from 17 to 21 November.
A Bright Opportunity (Literally)
The five-day short learning course is ECSA accredited, SAPVIA PV GreenCard approved, and AREP endorsed, so no fly-by-night nonsense here. Participants can earn five ECSA CPD points while learning how to size solar PV and battery systems, run online simulations using tools like Sunny Design Web, and get hands-on with designing, assembling, installing, and wiring solar PV modules and equipment.
The course aims to keep things practical. Expect a mix of classroom and fieldwork, covering legal requirements, safety standards, new technologies, and industry best practices. Think less theory, more spanners and screwdrivers.
What You’ll Learn
Attendees will go through all the essentials, including:
Legal requirements and standards
Safety and protection
Latest solar tech and best practices
System design and integration
Practical installation sessions
By the end, you’ll know your PV from your DC and have the paperwork to prove it.
