Purple Carrot Chef School Launches No-Nonsense 7-Day Food Safety & Catering Course in Potch - 28 July

If you've ever worked in a kitchen, you’ll know it’s more than just chopping onions and dodging flying hot pans. There's the less glamorous but critical stuff too, like food hygiene, allergen awareness, and handling your ingredients without turning your customers into a science experiment. That’s where Purple Carrot Chef School steps in, serving up a solid 7-day course for food pros who want to get it right.


What's Cooking?

From 28 July to 5 August, the Purple Carrot Chef School in Potchefstroom is hosting a 7-Day Food Safety & Catering Course designed to give kitchen and hospitality staff the know-how they need to meet international standards. It’s not just another box-ticking exercise. Whether you’re running a food truck, a restaurant, or a full-on catering company, trained and certified staff aren’t just nice to have, they’re essential.


This course doesn’t fluff around. Expect to learn about food hygiene, allergens, and safe food handling. The kind of training that keeps your health inspector smiling and your customers coming back.


Why Bother?

Because kitchens are war zones. One slip-up with cross-contamination, one dodgy fridge temp, or one poorly-labelled nut-based sauce, and suddenly you're the headline act on someone’s food blog, under “never eating here again.”
