During the recent June/July school holidays, the Saints u/13 cricket team took to the field at the annual Volkies Potch Tournament, a competitive event that draws strong junior cricket talent from across the region. Playing across multiple fields in Potchefstroom, the team delivered an inspiring performance, walking away with four wins from six matches.
This tournament offered the ideal platform to test not only technical skill, but also composure, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all qualities that the Saints squad demonstrated with maturity and discipline throughout the competition.

Dave Katane, who was named Player of the Match twice, showed composure under pressure and delivered with both bat and leadership presence.
Mofenyi Olaniran was equally instrumental, racking up a remarkable 118-run innings in Game 4 and following it up with an unbeaten 94 in Game 6, solidifying his status as one of the brightest young prospects in the team.
