From MMA inspiration and school holiday fun to business brilliance and community creativity, Week 41 reminded us again why Potchefstroom and Ikageng are bursting with stories worth telling. Let’s dive into the highlights of another jam-packed week with The Go-To Guy team on the move.

SportStroom 9 October – The Fighter with a Potch Heart On this week’s SportStroom, Drikus Viljoen sat down with none other than Micky Cloete, Potchefstroom’s very own international MMA fighter. Competing across the Middle East and Africa region as a flyweight, Micky’s journey is one of grit, passion, and purpose.
He shared his story with authenticity from the physical demands of training to the emotional resilience needed to face each fight head-on. His humility and drive show that big dreams can come from small towns. Whether in the octagon or at home in Potch, Micky represents strength and pride in equal measure.
Don’t miss this episode , it’s a knockout blend of heart and hustle.

Ikageng 10 October – Craft Meets Creativity The sound of laughter and the sparkle of creativity filled Promosa Primary School during the Mmabana Projects Jewellery Workshop. Local artists and learners came together to transform raw materials into beautiful, wearable art pieces.
