From sport stories and school achievements to power-tool demo days, tile shopping, and rising music stars from Ikageng, Week 46 was full of energy, variety, and the kind of community moments that make Potchefstroom so special.

Here’s everything we covered this week, in one place, in full colour. SportStroom – 12 November
Volkies Cricket: Reflecting on 2025, Building for 2026
On 12 November, SportStroom welcomed Pieter Wiid and Wynand Schmitt into the studio to unpack another exciting chapter in Volkies cricket.
Hosted by Drikus Viljoen, the interview explored:
How the team is preparing for the 2026 season
Their reflections on the highlights of 2025
The values and systems behind strengthening young cricketers for the future
This wasn’t just about match results , it was about culture, discipline, development, and long-term vision.
Pieter and Wynand spoke about helping players balance school, sport, and family life, while still keeping the excitement of cricket alive.
Their message was simple:
“We’re not just building a first team, we’re building future athletes and confident young people.”
A must-listen for any Potch cricket family.
