What’s New at The Go-To Guy?
We’ve had some big internal milestones this week too. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening behind the scenes:
We’re Now Verified for Political Advertising
Yes, it’s official – The Go-To Guy is now verified and authorised by Facebook to run political advertising campaigns. This gives us a new way to help candidates and community leaders engage with voters in a transparent and responsible way.
Mother’s Day Twist Competition Now Live
We’ve just launched our Mother’s Day Twist Competition. Want in? Head over to our Facebook page to see how you can get involved and possibly spoil a special mom.
The Potch Gazette is Moving
We’ve officially started migrating The Potch Gazette to a new platform. With over 30,000 local stories and snippets already shared, this is no small move, but it’s going to make the reader experience even better.
TGTG in Numbers
We also kicked off a new segment called “The Go-To Guy in Numbers” where we share real stats with advertisers – giving them a clear picture of the visibility and reach they get with us. Yes, we’re “bragging” a little, but hey, it’s worth it.
App Coming Soon

Lastly, we’ve started teasing our new BizRoom project , a unique business space for local owners to network and grow together. More info will be revealed over the next few weeks, but let’s just say… it’s going to change the way Potch does business.
And a Kind-Hearted Bonus...
With all the public holidays, long weekends, and calendar chaos, our boss Jan gave us a surprise gift – Friday the 2nd of May off. A small gesture that made a big difference to the whole team. Thanks, Jan.
That’s a wrap for Week 17.
A week filled with community stories, business wins, and a few exciting firsts for our platform. As always, thanks for being part of our journey. We’ll catch you next week with more stories, updates, and friendly faces from around Potchefstroom.
