This week was all about heart, hustle and highlighting the amazing people and places that make Potchefstroom tick. Here's a quick peek into everything that kept our team buzzing during Week 24!

StroomStories

We kicked off the week with a powerful and heartwarming chat in StroomStories! Dr. Ona Janse van Rensburg and Jenny-Lee Smith joined us for a conversation all about teacher well-being. With the upcoming Association for Well-being in Schools event around the corner, they gave us a glimpse into what educators can expect: mentorship, emotional support, and creative ways to stay uplifted.

SportStroom

We had two great conversations this week:

9 June: Janko Barnard from Laerskool Mooirivier gave us insight into what it takes to be a rugby ref in primary school leagues. Educational and fun!
11 June: We met young MTB star Aiden Smits from Laerskool ML Fick , this local champ is off to represent North West province! Definitely a name to watch!

Spiritual Talk

This week’s Spiritual Talk was another deep one with Pieter Conradie and Bennie Jonker. The theme? “To change your state of being, change your inner voice.” A beautiful reflection on how our inner dialogue shapes our spiritual and emotional wellbeing. Don’t miss this episode!

Our Eyes in the Field

10 June: We dropped by Build It Potch to explore their new Pet Corner! From gourmet doggy snacks to quality cat food , it’s a furry friend’s paradise!
10 June: We joined Mr. Heyns from Laerskool ML Fick to chat about their upcoming match with Potch Dorp. Proud moments and rugby excitement all around!
10 June: And who could forget our delicious visit to Home of Durban Curries , Bunny Chow like no other. Seriously, get there!
10 June: We also released a heart-driven video with Ona Janse van Rensburg and Jenny-Lee Smith about emotional wellbeing , give it a watch!

The Go-To Guy Events

9 June: We launched our Father's Day Video Competition in partnership with Flo-Tek! Families shared why their dads are the best, and the videos were absolute tearjerkers!
12 June: We closed voting and announced our top 3 winners! A massive thank you to everyone who voted and supported our dads of Potch.
12 June: Our Kettie Father's Day Competition winners were also announced, congrats to all the legends who walked away with prizes.

Celebrations!

We hit 75,000 Facebook followers this week, WOW! We marked the moment with warm coffee and a giant muffin from Mugg & Bean, because, why not? Thank you, Potch. Your support keeps us going.
