Ga-Matlabe Hall was filled with pride and excitement this past Monday as the Tiki Taka Sports Academy hosted its highly anticipated annual awards ceremony. The event served as a celebration of the hard work, discipline, and growth displayed by the academy’s players throughout the season.

A Warm Welcome and Spiritual Start
The proceedings began with an official opening by the Academy Chairman, Letlhogonolo Sephakwe. In his address, he welcomed the players, their supportive parents, and the dedicated management team, highlighting the importance of community in fostering athletic talent. Following the welcome, Mrs. Sekhute led the audience in an opening prayer, setting a respectful and celebratory tone for the day.

Celebrating the Next Generation
The heart of the event was the presentation of certificates to the players across various age groups. Young athletes from the following divisions were recognized for their participation and dedication:
Under 9

Under 11

Under 13

Under 15

Under 17

The ceremony featured two very special guests who serve as inspirations for the current roster. Kamogelo Malefo and Thami Khoboka (the Under 19 captain), both former Tiki Taka players who now compete for the Kaizer Chiefs DDC team, returned to their roots to hand out the certificates. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the pathways to professional success available through the academy.

Management and Family Support
As the event drew to a close, the management team expressed their deep gratitude for the collective effort required to run the academy. Words of thanks were shared by:
Katlego Sephakwe

Karabelo Mosolodi

Oupa Sephakwe

Kamogelo Olyn

A special moment of appreciation was reserved for Miss Sephakwe, affectionately known as the "Mother of the Team." As the mother of the academy’s founders, twins Katlego and Letlhogonolo Sephakwe, her support has been foundational to the organization’s success.
The ceremony concluded on a high note with a final closing prayer by Mrs. Sekhute, leaving the players motivated to continue their journey under the academy’s bold motto: #AppetiteForDestruction.
