Veri-Fest 2025: It’s Not Just a Braai – It’s a Movement - 24 September

Potchefstroom is heating up this spring, and not just from the coals. Veri-Fest 2025 is coming in hot on 24 September, with a mix of fire, flavour, and a full-on festival experience, now happening at NWU Jool Plaas (new venue alert!) after a move from the original JB Marks Oval spot.

The Braai, the Vibes, the Movement

Veri-Fest isn't just about turning chops and wors. The event is going all-in to break the unofficial braai world record. It’s a celebration of South African food culture, live music, games, and general gees.

Ticket holders can choose from different access levels depending on how seriously they take their braaing.

Festival Access – For the Sosatie Spectators

• R150 at Ambassadors (limited tickets)

• Includes access to:

  Excludes: braai area and unofficial record participation

Braai Access – For the Flame Fanatics

• R200 at Ambassadors

• Includes all Festival Access perks plus:

• Braai area access

• A communal braaier (wood and firelighters included)

• Entry into the unofficial record attempt

  Bring your own meat, gazebo, and camp chair, this isn’t a catered buffet, after all.

Braai Stand – The Full-on Feast Setup

• R2500 per stand (for 10 people)

  Includes:

• 10x Braai Access tickets

• Dedicated stand

• All the bells and boerewors

  This one’s for the serious squads who plan their marinade weeks in advance.

Kids Under 12 – The Mini Braai-Masters

• Free entrance

• Same access as adults (with supervision)

• Excluded from the braai record, maybe next time, bud.

Music Line-up:

The stage won’t be short of entertainment either. Appel, Refentse, and Ons are lined up for live performances. Whether you’re dancing with a boerie roll in hand or simply soaking up the tunes, this one’s for music lovers too.
