Zumba Reunion to Hit Potchefstroom This August - 23 August

Potchefstroom will play host to a high-energy, heart-pumping Zumba Reunion on Saturday, 23 August 2025, and it's shaping up to be a lot more than just an afternoon of dance moves and sweat. The event will take place at Chillmaz, 37 Retief Street, running from 12:00 to 13:30, and it's open to all ages and fitness levels, whether you’re a die-hard dancer or someone who just wants to flail with purpose.

A Throwback With a Purpose

This Zumba Reunion isn’t just about getting your groove back. It’s a celebration of memories, movement, friendship, and healthy habits. There’s a strong emotional thread running through the event too: it’s also a tribute to the organiser's mother, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Attendees are encouraged to consider donating to Beulah's Brave Battle, an ongoing BackaBuddy campaign supporting her medical expenses.

Tickets, Snacks and What to Wear

Ticket prices are refreshingly simple:

• Adults: R100

• Kids 10–16: R40

• Under 10s: Free

The price includes general access, a refreshment, and a snack, which, let’s be honest, is probably the incentive some of us need to even attempt Zumba again. Just don’t forget the unofficial dress code: a black T-shirt. That way everyone can at least look coordinated, even if their dance steps aren’t.
