The renowned ARTi Interior – Art Gallery - Antiques is stirring the art world with its innovative and challenging international art competition titled "Re-Imagined." Beginning on the 18th of October and culminating on the 31st, the contest invites artists of all ages from around the globe to reinterpret and re-envision iconic artworks from history. Celebrating the Confluence of Old and New Under the theme "Recreate a Famous Artwork," participants are beckoned to reimagine masterpieces from the expansive timeline of 1200 Medieval Art to 1950 Modern Art. While the call references great masters like Picasso, Da Vinci, Monet, and Gaugin, it's an invitation not to mimic, but to innovate. Using one's distinct style, parodies, and original interpretations, artists can either pay homage to these titans or spin them into contemporary critiques. With a generous first prize of R200,000, the competition promises to discover and celebrate some of the most innovative and talented artists in today's scene. Supporting Young Talent In a move to encourage and support young artists, ARTi Gallery has also introduced a special initiative.
