Few South African sporting stories combine speed, courage and sheer determination quite like that of Peter Lindenberg. Widely regarded as one of the country’s most accomplished motorsport personalities, Lindenberg’s life has been shaped by competition in its most daring forms, spanning from powerboat racing to the racetrack. Guided by the belief that "there are no prizes for second place", he built a career defined by instinct and an unwavering commitment to winning.
Over decades of high-performance sport, Lindenberg earned 39 national colours, secured 23 national championships across four sporting codes, and was inducted into the South African Sports Hall of Fame. From barefoot water-skiing and Formula One powerboat racing to his later motor racing successes, his journey reflects remarkable versatility and resilience.

Keeping It in the Family
In an upcoming conversation at Momentum Aardklop, Lindenberg reflects on the defining moments of his career, the risks, victories, crashes, comebacks and the people who shaped his journey. More than a story about speed, it is a look at discipline, family and the passion that drives a person forward long after the chequered flag has fallen.
Joining him is his daughter, Paige Lindenberg, who has forged her own path in motorsport and continues the family racing legacy into a new generation. Having started racing at a young age, she progressed from powerboats to circuit racing, achieving championship success in Legends and Historic Racing, podium finishes at major events, and recognition as Women in Motoring’s Woman of the Year.
Together with car enthusiast and presenter Ernest Page, father and daughter offer a personal insight into a life lived flat out, proving that for this family, racing is far more than a sport; it is a way of life.
