A fun run and market day, Draf Dag, takes place on Saturday, 1 August, offering participants a chance to get active outdoors while supporting local community outreach projects.

What to Expect on the Day
The event features both a 5 km and a 10 km route tailored for runners and walkers looking to stretch their legs. The 5 km run kicks off at 07:00, followed closely by the 10 km start at 07:10.
The terrain along the route isn't entirely flat, so proper running shoes are recommended. Official times won't be recorded by organisers, meaning participants tracking their pace should bring along their own sports watches. Water points will be set up along the course, but bringing a water bottle, cap, and sunscreen is advised.
For those less inclined to run, market stalls open early at 06:45 and run through until 15:00. Attendees can grab a cup of coffee from Plato Coffee or browse the various local vendor stalls throughout the morning.
Running with a Purpose
All proceeds generated from Draf Dag go directly towards supporting the outreach projects of Community and Stakeholder Engagement (CSE), a registered non-profit organisation (NPO 002-00).
Note: Draf Dag is independently organised to raise funds for CSE's community outreach initiatives and operates independently of North-West University.
