The executive committee of the Matlosana Rugby Academy has officially announced that the institution has accepted a formal invitation to participate in the upcoming Rugby and Netball Festival. The high-profile youth sports tournament is hosted annually by Springs Technical High School.
The academy will deploy a high-performance contingent to Gauteng later this year, with the festival scheduled to run from 23 to 25 September 2026.
Dual-Age Category Deployment
The selection committee has confirmed that the academy will be represented across multiple competitive divisions. The technical structures have prioritized optimal preparation for two primary rugby squads:
Under-15 (U15) Squad: Tasked with testing the academy's junior development structures against elite schoolboy lineups.
Under-17 (U17) Squad: Set to showcase senior tactical discipline, physical conditioning, and structural execution on the field.
