There’s something brewing in Potchefstroom this Saturday, and it’s not just the regular weekend braais. It’s an ocean painting session at Loop St, and if you’ve ever fancied yourself as the next great underwater scene maestro, this might just be your time to shine.
The Details You Need
The event is set for Saturday, 7 June 2025 from 14:30 to 17:30, giving you a solid three hours to splash some colour on the canvas. The venue is the delightfully arty Loop St in Potchefstroom, 37 Loop St, to be precise. It’ll only cost you R180 a pop, and yes, that covers all the gear: a 30cm x 30cm canvas, artboard, and acrylic paint. No need to worry about forgetting your brushes, they’ve got you sorted.
A Splash of Creativity
The crew at The ART Club and Loop St knows how to host a lekker creative vibe. Tables are laid out with canvases, paint tubes, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for both serious artists and those who just want to see if they can make something fishy look good.
And don’t sweat if you’re a complete beginner, they promise it’s beginner-friendly. So if your last attempt at painting was in Grade 2, you’re still welcome!
Contact and Booking Info
If you’re keen to join, there’s still some space left (and no, that’s not just a polite suggestion!). Here’s how to lock down your spot:

You can also reach them on WhatsApp at the same number if that’s more your style.
So, if you’re up for a fun, fishy art adventure, the Loop St painting session is calling. They’ve got everything ready, all you need to do is rock up and see if your brush strokes can do justice to the deep blue sea. Hope to sea you there (yes, they made that pun, but it’s worth repeating).
