Finding a new four-legged family member just became an even more rewarding experience. Paws Haven NPC in Potchefstroom has officially launched a limited-time Special Adoption Fee campaign aimed at finding forever homes for the wonderful, fully processed animals in their care.
Running from 15 to 26 June 2026, this initiative offers a significantly reduced adoption rate for pets that have already undergone sterilization. By adopting a pre-sterilized pet, community members can skip the waiting period for surgeries while opening up vital kennel space for new emergency rescues.
The Adoption Drive Details
To make welcoming a pet more accessible, Paws Haven has structured the campaign with incredibly generous promotional rates:
Dogs: R500
Cats: R300
While the fees are reduced, the shelter emphasizes that their high standards of animal welfare remain firmly in place. The standard adoption process still strictly applies to every applicant. This includes mandatory home checks and is completely subject to approval by the shelter inspectors to ensure every animal lands in a safe, loving environment.
⚠️ Important Campaign Note: This special promotion is strictly applicable only to animals that have already been sterilized. It does not apply to younger puppies or kittens who are still awaiting their appropriate age milestones for sterilization surgeries.

Luna is a beautiful 1-year-old female Pitbull who arrived at the shelter on 3 November 2025 after being surrendered as unwanted. She is a deeply loving girl with a gentle soul and a wonderful disposition. Luna is eager to find a stable forever home where she can settle down, show off her intelligence, and be a loyal best friend to her human pack.
