Werner shares how even things that once seemed enjoyable in a worldly life lose their appeal when we grow spiritually. “The things I did when I was lost—yes, they were fun. But now I find joy that lasts. Now I party differently. I surround myself with people who love Jesus. I live for something bigger.” The Role of Community and Consistency Discipleship thrives in community. This episode highlights the importance of walking with others, not just talking at them. It means meeting people where they are—just like Jesus met Zacchaeus, the woman at the well, or the leper. Potchefstroom locals and visitors alike should set aside Friday, 14 March 2025, for a night under the full moon at Lekwena Wildlife Estate. This annual charity event, presented by Engel & Völkers Potchefstroom and Lekwena Wildlife Estate, promises an evening of outdoor fun, live music, and good food, all in aid of the Potchefstroom Dienssentrum vir Bejaardes. What to Expect Gates open at 17:00, giving attendees time to explore the Night Market (running from 17:00 to 21:00), enjoy live music, and keep the kids entertained with activities, including a jumping castle. For the sporty types, padel and volleyball courts will be available (at an extra cost). A cash bar and various food stalls will be on-site to keep everyone fuelled for the night. The Moon Walk The main event of the evening is the Moon Walk, an out-and-back route through the Lekwena Wildlife Estate. Walkers can start at any time between 18:00 and 20:00, with the entrance to the route closing at 20:00. The route is roughly 7km long, but participants can turn back earlier if they prefer. Keep in mind, in true bushveld style, this is a bring-your-own-headlight affair – it’s compulsory. What’s Included?
