February 11: Baking for a Cause with Paws Haven Later that week, we focused on our four-legged friends. Paws Haven  announced their very first  bake sale fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day), at MooiRivier Mall. This was such a heartwarming concept: cupcakes for the humans and special “pupcakes” for the dogs! The event also included face painting, a fun photo corner, and friendly mascots to spread the love. We caught up with the organizers, who emphasized that beyond buying sweets, the real difference is made when community members visit the shelter and take one of the dogs for a walk.
