A pinned message is a feature that allows users to attach a specific message at the top of a chat window. This message is displayed as a banner, ensuring that it catches the attention of all chat participants. You can use this feature to highlight important announcements, reminders, or any content you deem significant. How to Pin a Message The process of pinning a message varies slightly depending on your device: • Android Users: Simply tap and hold the desired message, then select the pin icon. Choose the duration for which you want the message to stay pinned (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days), and hit 'Pin'. • iPhone Users: Tap and hold the message, go to 'More options', select 'Pin', choose the duration, and confirm. • Web and Desktop: Navigate to the message, click on the pin icon, select the duration, and pin it. Unpinning Messages You can unpin a message whenever needed. If not manually unpinned, it will automatically be removed after the selected duration. The unpinning process is similar across platforms: simply tap and hold (or click) on the pinned message and choose to unpin. Pinned Messages in Group Chats Group admins now have the option to empower members to pin messages in group chats. It’s quickly becoming a global sensation and it has finally arrived on South African shores. The Potchefstroom Country Club announced the arrival of Techno Padel earlier this year and finally opened its courts on the 1st of December.  Image: Marizanne and Nicol Degenaar & Lizelle and Lucas van Wyk after a game of Padel What is Padel?  Padel is a racquet sport that generally follows the rules of tennis, but it has four walls like squash which makes it different. It’s played inside an enclosed court, so there are less limits to where you can hit the ball. There are quite a few rules to this game, so here’s what you need to know. Dynamics of the game 1.Scoring Padel is typically played as the best of three sets. Each set is first to six games, and a team must win by a margin of two games. 2. Serve The game starts with an underhand serve. The server must drop the ball and hit it below waist level. The serve must be directed diagonally to the opponent’s service box. 3. Service box The service box is marked by lines on the court. The ball must bounce once in the server’s service box and then in the receiver’s service box. 4. Double bounce rule After the serve, both the serving team and the receiving team must let the ball bounce once before playing it. After the first bounce, volleys (hitting the ball before it bounces) are allowed. 5. Court dimensions Padel courts are smaller than tennis courts, and they have glass or wire mesh walls around them. Scoring points Points are scored like tennis: 15, 30, 40 and game. If the score reaches 40-40, it’s called deuce and a team must win with two consecutive points to win the game. 7. Faults Faults include not hitting the ball into the opponent’s service box, not hitting the ball before it bounces twice or hitting the ball out of bounds. 8. Ball in play Once the ball is in play, it can be played off the walls. Players can hit the ball directly into the opponent’s court or use the walls to create angles. 9. Change of ends Players change ends after every set and also when the total games in a set add up to six (eg, 3-3). 10. Let If the serve hits the net but lands in the correct service box, it is considered a let and the server gets another opportunity.  11. Overhead glass The glass walls on the court are considered part of the playing area. If the ball hits the walls and goes into the opponent’s side, it is still in play. You (http://b.You)are not allowed to play without adjusting the safety rope/strap of the racquet. c. Embarking on a tantalising journey of transformation, the beloved Piggly Wiggly and Pig & Play emerges anew, a phoenix reborn from the embers of a captivating renovation and a rebranding spectacle. Welcome to the grand opening of The Pig Family Bistro, where a feast for the senses awaits, and a new era of indulgence begins. Image: The Pig Family Bistro Facebook Page Meet the owners Natalie Smith moved to Potchefstroom in 2019 and bought the establishment in 2020 - then COVID-19 and lockdown hit, but that didn’t get her down. Fast forward a few years to when her path coincidently crossed with that of Louis Taljaard and when she approached him with a business proposition, he jumped at the opportunity. Louis, who brings a ton of experience to the table, now holds the title of co-owner at The Pig Family Bistro and is more of a ‘behind the scenes’ person who likes to make sure that the ship is sailing smoothly. Natalie, on the other hand, is a very ‘above the deck’, hands-on owner and you’ll even spot her taking orders or behind the brand new bar pouring drinks or making cocktails. They have big dreams and even bigger ambitions for this rustic restaurant that provides so much potential. Adding to the trampolines and sandpits that were already in the ‘park’, Natalie and Louis have added synthetic grass, playground toys, colourful shading, slip and slides and a brand new splash pool, just to name a few elements. Everything that they’ve added or refurbished is handcrafted and made by either one or both of them and they really do take pride in the blood, sweat and tears that goes into their handiwork.  Image: The upgraded play area Perspective shift For a long time the focus was primarily on children’s parties, but this dynamic duo wanted to change the perception of just that. The bistro will shift the focus more towards adults and families of all ages. The ultimate goal is to have parents enjoy a meal and some beverages while the children are playing in the ‘park’ area of the venue, under child supervision provided by the bistro itself. Although they are still hosting their famous, fabulous parties, they will no longer be known as an exclusive party venue, nor a public park, but a bistro for the whole family.  The public can look forward to enjoying sports matches which will be aired, some live, local entertainment and fun game nights that will be hosted at the bistro. And the best part? The festivities won’t be limited to weekends only, as their doors will now be open from Monday to Sunday.  Image: Hearty breakfasts that will be served at the restaurant What the future holds Although they are quite limited regarding space at the bistro with the amount of ideas they have, this won’t influence their vision as they already have ideas for a new premises. Dit is geen geheim dat daar ‘n gebrek aan behoeftes vir minderbevoorregtes onstaan in Suid-Afrika nie; armoede diskrimineer nie. In ons eie dorp en regoor die land is daar honderde, indien nie derduisende, haweloses en armes wat daagliks by verkeersligte of op straathoeke staan en ‘n geldjie vra sonder om ‘n woord te sê - die meeste staan met bakhande, neergeslaande oë en ‘n wanhopige, vernederde trek op hul gesigte. Dit laat my dink aan die fliek, Lien se Lankstaanskoene - die moed en absolute desperaatheid wat ‘n persoon moet hê om jouself so bloot te stel (aan die elemente en die samelewing) is iets byna ongelooflik, maar wat staan jou te doen wanneer dit die laaste uitweg is? En ek probeer regtig help waar en wanneer ek kan, maar soms het ek régtig niks en soms gaan dit maar broekskeur. Dit is juis in daardie tye wat die vyand kom en my probeer troos met “jy kan nie altyd almal help nie, want dan gaan jy self niks hê nie” en dan stoot ek maar die skuldgevoel eenkant toe, want dit is seker in ‘n mate waar? Dan kom die woorde van Matteus 25:35 - 37 by my op: ''For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." En ons is geroep om soos Hy te leef - hoekom sukkel ons dan so om liefde te gee en genade te wys?  Ek dink sommige mense redeneer “die lewe gaan oor keuses en dít is wat gebeur wanneer jy die verkeerde besluite maak”.
