The JB Marks Local Municipality  has confirmed that repair work remains ongoing at Ikageng Water Pump Station 7 , following a mechanical breakdown  that disrupted water supply to several parts of the city earlier this week. The breakdown affected water pumping to the Ikageng West Reservoir , leaving areas such as Ikageng Proper (Old Ikageng)  and Potch Industria  with low pressure or no water since the weekend. A contractor appointed by the municipality  was immediately deployed to the site to carry out assessments and begin the mechanical restoration process. The municipality confirmed that the team has been working continuously to restore the system to full operational capacity. While significant progress has been reported, pumping operations have not yet resumed , pending completion of the final phase of mechanical repairs and system testing. 💧 Areas Affected and Impact on Supply The interruption has primarily impacted residents and businesses in: Ikageng Proper (Old Ikageng) Potch Industria Surrounding zones supplied via the Ikageng West Reservoir These areas have experienced intermittent or severely reduced water pressure  since the incident.
