Residents resonated with Councillor de Bruin's message in her letter when she stated: “We are already paying for water that runs in the streets instead of taps, and roads that crumble daily. Kids Farm Camp Returns in October Catchu Kube just outside Parys will once again host its Kids Farm Camp, running from 5 to 8 October 2025. The camp is open to boys and girls aged 11 and older, and promises a hands-on taste of farm life mixed with plenty of outdoor fun. What’s on the Programme Children will pitch their own tents, look after sheep and chickens, and hike through the Vredefort Dome. The days will be filled with activities such as building a farm fence, learning how to crack a whip, and woodwork projects that can be taken home afterwards.
