The Matlosana sporting community gathered in high spirits for the 2025 Matlosana Netball League Finals , a vibrant showcase of athletic talent and community pride. Hosted by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in the City of Matlosana  in partnership with the Matlosana Netball Association , the event brought together players, coaches, municipal representatives and enthusiastic supporters at the Brazil Stadium Tennis Courts. The finals marked an exciting culmination of weeks of competition, with the best teams from across the municipality competing for top honours in three divisions: U/16 Girls, Senior Females, and Senior Mixed Teams . Athletes played with confidence, showcasing strong teamwork, precision passing and impressive defensive strategies. MS Dorren Ntlatseng  from the Matlosana Netball Association commended the players for their exceptional performance, saying: “The finals showcased exceptional athletic prowess, dedication, discipline, and passion.” Her remarks echoed the admiration shared by supporters and officials who witnessed the athletes’ standout performances throughout the tournament. Leadership Presence and Awards Ceremony The event was attended by several municipal leaders, including MMC for Sports, Arts and Culture, Cllr Mojalefa Mosupa , who played a central role in acknowledging the athletes’ achievements. Cllr Mosupa personally presented medals and trophies to the winning teams and runners-up, congratulating them on their outstanding performance and commitment to the sport.
