Repieweek: ’n Jaarlikse tradisie wat die spangees en kameraderie tussen inwoners versterk. Repie Rugby en Repie Basaar: Geleenthede waar inwoners saam pret het, spangees bou en herinneringe skep. Koshuiskultuur: Elke eerstejaar en senior neem aktief deel, wat help om sterk bande tussen die 221 inwoners te bou. Enkelkamers vanaf Eerstejaar Huis Republiek is een van slegs twee dameskoshuise op die NWU-kampus waar dames van hul eerstejaar af in enkelkamers woon. Die koshuis het agt gange, Allamapstieks, Aphrodite, Caritas, Femme Fatale, GenotGrot, Hunky Dory, Mirre en Welwitchia, elk met ’n gang HK-lid wat seker maak dat elke inwoner se belange en behoeftes aangespreek word. Die voorkant van die koshuis is as ’n nasionale monument verklaar, wat ’n unieke element tot sy identiteit voeg. Hierdie geskiedenis versterk die trots wat inwoners het in hul koshuis en die tradisies wat deur dekades heen oorgedra is. ’n Leefwyse, Nie Net ’n Blyplek Nie Huis Republiek bied ’n omgewing waar dames nie net hul akademiese en persoonlike doelwitte kan bereik nie, maar ook die betekenis van studentwees ten volle kan ervaar. Vriendskap en Gemeenskap: Met 221 trotse inwoners word die koshuis ’n familie waar elke inwoner soos ’n sussie of strooimeisie voel. Diversiteit en Andersheid: Die koshuis skep ’n ruimte waar dames hul uniekheid kan uitleef, met respek en aanvaarding as kernwaardes. Tradisie en Spangees: Tradisies soos Repieweek en die ikoniese Toeternoelie versterk die koshuisidentiteit en bou lewenslange herinneringe. Luxe Verblyf: Enkelkamers vanaf eerstejaar bied privaatheid en gerief, wat help om akademiese en persoonlike balans te handhaaf. - Potchefstroom Academy’s Rungu Massage Short Course: Roll On 2 July
In Potchefstroom, massage therapists and wellness enthusiasts alike are set to get their hands on a new skill, quite literally. The Potchefstroom Academy, known for its dedication to practical training and no-nonsense learning, is offering a short course on Rungu Massage, and it’s happening on 2 July. A Fresh Approach to Deep Tissue Work The Rungu Massage technique is all about harnessing the power of a solid Eucalyptus-wood baton, a handy tool that delivers deep-tissue relief without turning your thumbs into jelly. Forget your usual deep-tissue routine; this method ensures a solid workout for the muscle, not your hands. The workshop covers the basics: you’ll get a thorough theoretical introduction before rolling up your sleeves (or not, it’s massage, after all) for some serious practical training. The course is designed to help you upskill, whether you’re looking to expand your massage menu or simply want to see what it’s all about. Who’s It For? A little heads up: there’s a prerequisite.
